How to Set Up and Use Your MOFT MagSafe Wallet with Find My

Learn to set up and use your new MOFT MagSafe wallet with Find My support: unbox, pair, attach, use kickstand, and track it via Find My app.

Overview

After a long wait since its debut at CES 2025, MOFT's popular MagSafe wallet with kickstand finally integrates Apple's Find My network. This handy accessory lets you carry cards and cash while keeping your iPhone propped up, and now you can locate it if misplaced. This guide walks you through everything from unboxing to tracking, ensuring you get the most out of your new gear.

What You Need

  • MOFT MagSafe Wallet with Find My (the new model)
  • An iPhone with MagSafe (iPhone 12 or later) running iOS 15 or newer
  • Optional: A flat screwdriver if the wallet uses a replaceable coin cell battery (check product manual)
  • Your Apple ID (already set up on the iPhone)

Step 1: Unbox and Check Contents

Open the packaging carefully. Inside, you'll find the wallet itself, a quick-start guide, and possibly a spare battery or charging cable depending on the version. Inspect the wallet for any damage and ensure the kickstand hinges move freely. Keep the manual handy for battery replacement instructions if needed.

Step 2: Prepare the Wallet's Power Source

The Find My feature requires power. The MOFT wallet may use a built-in rechargeable battery that charges wirelessly when attached to your iPhone's MagSafe, or it might take a CR2032 coin cell. Check your model:

  • Rechargeable version: Attach the wallet to your iPhone for at least 30 minutes to charge. The LED (if present) will blink while charging.
  • Coin cell version: Use a small screwdriver to open the battery compartment, insert the battery with the positive side facing up, and close it securely.

Step 3: Pair the Wallet with Find My

Once the wallet has power (or after charging), bring it close to your unlocked iPhone. A setup card should automatically appear on your screen, similar to AirPods or other Find My accessories. Tap Connect, then choose a name (like “My MOFT Wallet”) and an emoji if desired. Finally, tap Continue and then Finish. The wallet is now linked to your Apple ID and appears in the Find My app under the Items tab.

Step 4: Attach to Your iPhone

Align the wallet's magnetic array with the back of your iPhone (the area where the MagSafe ring is). You'll feel a satisfying snap when it locks into place. For best adhesion, remove any case that isn't MagSafe-compatible; slim MagSafe cases work fine. The wallet should sit flush without wobbling.

Step 5: Use the Kickstand

To prop your phone horizontally (landscape), pull the kickstand tab outward from the bottom of the wallet. It folds into two positions: a low angle for typing and a higher angle for video watching. For vertical (portrait) viewing, some users rotate the phone; the kickstand works in both orientations. Press the kickstand back into the wallet when not in use to keep it slim.

Step 6: Track or Find Your Wallet

If you misplace the wallet, open the Find My app on your iPhone, tap the Items tab, and select your MOFT wallet. You'll see its last known location on a map. Use the Play Sound option to make the wallet emit a chirp (if within Bluetooth range, typically up to 30 feet). If the wallet is far away, you can put it into Lost Mode so other iPhone users can help locate it via the Find My network. You'll receive a notification when its location is found.

Tips

  • Battery life: For rechargeable versions, the wallet lasts about 2–3 months on a full charge. Keep it attached to your iPhone occasionally to top up. Coin cell batteries last roughly one year; replace immediately when you get a low battery alert in Find My.
  • Don't overload: The wallet holds up to 3–4 cards comfortably. Overstuffing may weaken the magnetic grip or cause the kickstand to not close properly.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the wallet with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid submerging it or using harsh chemicals, as this can damage the electronics and magnets.
  • Kickstand care: Fold and unfold the kickstand gently. Do not force it beyond its designed angles. Lubricate the hinge occasionally with a tiny drop of silicone oil if it becomes stiff.
  • Lost Mode prevents use: Once you mark the wallet as lost, it cannot be easily paired with another device. Only disable Lost Mode after you recover it.
  • Check compatibility: The wallet works with MagSafe iPhones and some MagSafe cases. Thick or non-MagSafe cases may reduce magnetic hold.
